We invite you to think about it, and to laugh about it, in song! (Photo copyright Hubert Amiel)

A citizens’ climate assembly is a time for reflection and proposals for a climate policy and action that are equal to the environmental challenges that await us in Luxembourg and Europe. But why this kind of assembly? How can it be organised to provide an inclusive and open space? Who should, wants to, can participate, in order to be inclusive and reflect the diversity of Luxembourg society? We will reflect together to find answers to these questions and to prepare the next Citizens’ Climate Assemblies. (Photo by Li-An Lim on Unsplash)

Zetetics

Introduction to Zetetics – the Art of Critical Thinking

18h00 Outside – Main Stage | Conference | French

Zetetics is an approach that focuses on discourses in the field of beliefs and pseudosciences to tame the intellectual tools necessary to evaluate the validity of discourses in general. The first step of zetetics consists in becoming aware of our own biases, of the blind spots of our rationality and of what results in spite of ourselves: the persistence of refuted beliefs. Nobody is immune to persistence in error because some beliefs turn our intelligence against us. Fortunately, there are ways to limit the damage, to identify situations where error is likely, to suspend our judgment, to ask ourselves the right questions. This allows us to avoid falling into the traps set before us, but also to thwart the greatest of manipulators: ourselves.

militant choir

Relaunch of the militant choir

13h00 Outside – Main Stage | Choir

Let’s relearn how to sing protest songs and hymns of revolution. A song, a poem, is worth more than a thousand speeches to give hope and a taste for the struggle. Let us together find a voice confiscated by an inhuman system by sharing songs of struggle. To sing well you have to raise your head and to raise your head to sing well is to begin the long march towards emancipation. So let’s sing! You don’t know how to sing? Come and sing anyway!

The first relaunch will be on Sunday at 1 pm as part of Transition Days, then we will meet from time to time for friendly evenings to learn a revolutionary song.
