Transition Days 2018

Every two years, the Transition Days aim to highlight a certain theme or question proposed by local groups of the Transition Movement. Together with different associations, groups, expert speakers and the public, the Transition Days create a festival in order to crowd-source solutions and to support each other with the purpose to envision a sustainable future together.

The first Transition Days Luxembourg in 2018 marked a changing point towards a more sustainable future of our food. More than 1,500 people followed the call.

Around fifty organisations from agricultural production, civil society, municipalities, education, research and the private sector discussed, tested and proposed solutions that respond to the challenges of today and tomorrow in producing and consuming food differently.

This initiative does not stop at a simple event: organizations and citizens have given themselves an action plan of a Food Transition for Luxembourg, around which concrete and innovative projects are created to meet the challenge of eating well while respecting global and climatic limits.
